History Club is in need of clothing for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance .  They are asking students to bring in any clothing for women and children that is in good condition.  Feel free to send your donations with your student or bring them to Boise High.  Boxes are set up in the main hall and in the Tech Building .  Please look in your closets to see if you can give of yourself to a great cause here in the valley.

Concert Band and Jazz Band perform tonight, Jan 29, 7:30 pm, BHS auditorium – The concert will feature the jazz bands and concert bands from both North Jr. High and Boise High along with a great finale when both schools combine for a massive group of over 100 kids to perform two of the best pieces of music literature written for the modern school band.  It is going to be a great show.  Mr. Sprague, North JH

Calling All Parents of Seniors:  The ‘007 Graduation Party planning committee needs your help!  Please call Diane Liles (854-8360), Liz Blahd (387-0084), Rochelle Lamm (354-8876), or Shannon Asbury (860-6839) to sign up for a committee.  Committees include publicity, senior picnic, senior gift, community donations, ticketing, games & entertainment, check-in, food, security, chaperones, and clean-up.  The next planning meeting is Saturday, Feb 10, in the counseling office at 9:00 am.  The party will be June 7, 2007, at Boondocks Fun Center .

Hats off to Sophie Strachman and Luke Maher as our two most recent winners of the “KBCI Student of the Week Award.”  Selections are made on the basis of academic performance and involvement in school and community activities.

Our own Orchestra teacher, Wendy Hartman, hit a high note when she was inducted into National Honor Roll’s Outstanding American Teachers.  The program was established to provide positive recognition to educators who have been identified by their students as having had the greatest influence on their lives, either as a student or as an individual.  Congratulations!

Project Re-Cell – Boise High is doing a cell phone recycling fundraiser to raise funds for the BHS weight room.  Please donate your old cell phone and it will be tax deductible in accordance with EPA regulations.  100% of the proceeds help fund the BHS weight room.  Bring your old cell phone to Boise High and fill out a tax-deductible form available in the ASB office.
