The
Drama Department
did the impossible with our spring production. It's
hard enough to prepare one play for production but with as
many students as are involved with drama at
Boise
High School
we decided to try the impossible. The old say is:
"everything is impossible until it isn't."
We made it isn't
with two full-length plays at once. The plays were You
Can't Take It With You and The
Curious Savage. Both plays were
comedies with a bit of pathos thrown in to make us think a
little about the message. The plays featured the
senior drama students in what for many was their final
performance on the main stage at
Boise
High School
. In addition, Curious
Savage was directed by Paulina Ravella, one
of the senior drama students. This was a memorable
experience for all involved. Drama has other
great plans for the spring. On March 22 and 23 the
drama department will be hosting the annual All-School
Talent Show. The public performance will be at 7:00
p.m. on Thursday the 22nd in the school auditorium.
Later in the first week of May in conjunction with
the music department the Boise High Drama will be
presenting the nearly immortal, Wizard
of Oz. The production will feature
students from both elementary schools and both East and
North Jr. High schools. –Mr.
Eshelman

Varsity
Hockey -- Braves
Hockey will begin State Tournament play on March 2 in
Sun Valley
. While there is no state ranking system for High
School Hockey, Boise High is expected to do well in the
tournament. We will face particularly stiff
competition from
Meridian
and
Wood
River
High Schools
and could sure use some moral support. If you are in
Sun Valley
the weekend of March 2-4 please come by the rink and support
your Braves. The tournament is set up as a blind
draw, so there will be no schedule until after this
newsletter is published. If you are interested in the
schedule feel free to contact Coach Beckett by email at rick.beckett@boiseschools.org
for an update of the schedule. Your support, at the
rink or around town, is greatly appreciated. Win,
lose, or draw the boys will make us all proud. GO
BRAVES! – Coach
Beckett
