Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day 2007, and the Boise High TREE club, Recycling Club and “Focus the Nation” Club are ramping up for this important event by launching Earth Week 2007.  All next week there will be chances to win fabulous prizes, like a $50 gift certificate to George’s cycles…..and water bottles..…and CANDY.  So ride your bike and Mr. Quissell will be at the bike rack to hand out candy to those who ride all next week, also a raffle ticket for a chance at that gift certificate…..so here’s what’s happening:

Monday is Recycling Day; wear something GREEN.

Tuesday is Save Water Day; wear your t-shirts with your favorite animal on it.

Wednesday is Save Gas Day; wear Birkenstocks and sandals.

Thursday is Save Electricity Day; wear thrift store clothes or recycled clothing.

Friday is Eat Organic and Local Day, pull out your favorite tie-dyed outfits.

Congratulations to the Boise High nominees for the Mayor’s Awards to Youth:  Ali Seena Jaffari and Paulina Ravella.  These two seniors were chosen for their remarkable commitment to education and community.  They will be honored at the Mayor’s Awards to Youth Ceremony on Thursday, April 26th.  Way to Go!
