About Boise Brave Parents

We’re a group dedicated to making sure that Boise High School stays one of the top high schools, not just in Boise, or in Idaho, but in the U.S.!  Did you know Boise High School is ranked in the top 500 high schools in the country by the Washington Post?  If not, check it out!  Click here for the article.  Boise High School was also recently ranked as Idaho’s best public high school by Niche.com

Most of us are parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, alumni, or general supporters of Boise High School (you get the picture – everyone is welcome to join!).

We help the school with what we like to call the “Three A’s” – Academics, Activities, and Athletics.  We give our time, talent, and treasure in small ways – like putting on an ice cream social for students who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher, sending in treats for the teachers and staff once a month, and chaperoning dances.  We give in big ways too – like holding a gala every other year to raise money for important things that make Boise High School a better place for all students but aren’t in the school budget.  We fund programs like Character Education, the Brave Empowerment Network (BEN), and a student assistance fund to support those who struggle financially.  We also provide much needed items such as choir robes, CPR mannequins, and an electronic scoreboard for the soccer teams.

We’ve been around since 1985 and we’re governed by a Board of up to 20 officers and committee chairs that meets the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the career center, Room 402, at Boise High School to take care of business.  Feel free to stop by if you want to learn more about us or see how we work!  Check the calendar for the specific monthly Board meeting dates.
